Although I purchased this for my son, I also use the ProForce Velocity Headguard. It's main benefit for me was to cut down on the amount of heat and sweat on my head during sparring. My son (9 year old) likes it becuase it looks cool. All in all it is a good quality product and provides excellent head protection.

Excellent Service - Size Exchange |

I had ordered the wrong size. Sent an e-mail to Customer Service in the evening, and received a note back the same night explaining how to make the exchange. Exchange was smooth and quick. Arrived quicker than I expected. Great Experience!

The Proforce Velocity Headguard is the best headguard I have ever own. I highly recommend this headguard, It has a unique channeling system built into the headguard. Faster moving air is cooler then non moving air.This headguard has been design to move the surrounding air throughout the headguard. With the design of the many carefully placed vents located on the top, side, and on the rear of the headguard has create a great air flow. Now, add on the unique built in channeling system, you now have an outstanding air flow. I new instantly this headguard was a winner. I could tell much thought was given in the design of this product.
I took the Proforce Velocity headguard outside and and gave it another test. I strapped my headguard on and rode my bicycle, not as replacement for my bike helmet but to check on the laws of cause and effect. What happen next, pleasantly surprise me. The speed of the bike amplify the air flow so I could hear and feel the cool air being moved inside of the headguard. Because of the channeling inside the headquard (the cause) I was cooler (the effect). In my opinion this is the best design headguard.
Shopping at Martial Arts Equipment Direct was a joy, They are so professional, there service was great, there product was outstanding.
After I recieved my order, I place another order.

I tend to sweat a lot when sparring and my old head gear seemed to make the problem worse. I was very pleasantly surprised with the design, flexibility, and weight of the ProForce Velocity Headguard. While I still sweat a lot, the headguard's air flow pattern keeps my head a great deal cooler. All in all I am very glad I bought this product. On a related note, the item shipped in a timely manner and was recieved sooner than I anticipated. Perhaps this is because I live near the place it was shipped from, but still a good surprise. My rating of 5 stars is based on my comparison with my old head gear.
